The inspiration behind Jessie J's debut single, 'Do It Like A Dude'; 'I wanted to write a song that was tongue-in-cheek and a parody of a stereotypical male. But also, I wanted the song to be empowering for girls, but not kind of an "I hate men" song - because I don't, and I don't say that in the song. It's about feeling hardcore.'

'I can do it like a brother, do it like a dude, Grab my crotch, wear my hat low like you' Anything they can do, we can do. Just because their men and your a woman doesn't mean you can't do it too. The song should inspire you to go out and try anything, because your juste as capable as them, empower yourself and believe you can.
